Kids Learning World
This policy explains how Kids Learning World (the "App"), developed by Avaxsoft ("we," "us," "our"), handles information when you download and use it. Kids Learning World is an offline-first educational app for children ages 3–8, covering the alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes, animals, and related learning worlds, games, and rewards.
The App is designed to be installed and set up by a parent or guardian, who creates a child profile and manages settings from a PIN-protected Parent Dashboard.
The App has no backend server and no user accounts, so there is nothing for us — the developer — to receive, store, or view.
To make the App work, a small amount of information is saved locally, in the App's own private storage on the device. It is never transmitted anywhere.
| What's stored | Why |
|---|---|
| Child profile | The name and avatar a parent enters when creating a profile, plus level, stars, and coins earned. |
| Learning progress | Which lessons and challenges have been completed, so the App can pick up where your child left off. |
| Achievements & rewards | Badges and rewards unlocked through play. |
| Parent PIN | A 4-digit PIN, stored only as a salted cryptographic hash, used to gate the Parent Dashboard. |
| App settings | Sound and music preferences. |
None of this data is uploaded, synced to a cloud service, or shared with us. It exists only on the device it was created on, for as long as the App remains installed.
From the PIN-protected Parent Dashboard, a parent may optionally choose a custom avatar photo for a child's profile, using either the device camera or photo library. This is entirely optional — the App works fully with its built-in illustrated avatars instead.
Any photo chosen this way is resized and saved only inside the App's private local storage on the device. It is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with us or any third party, and a parent can remove it at any time from the Parent Dashboard.
The App shows ads, served by Google's AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK), to support free access to the App.
Every ad request the App makes is explicitly configured as child-directed:
To deliver and measure even non-personalized ads, and to protect against fraud, Google's SDK still processes some technical information on-device (such as device type, general network information, and ad interaction events like an impression or a tap). This processing is carried out by Google as an independent service provider, governed by Google's Privacy Policy and its How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
We do not control the technical operation of Google's ad-serving systems and cannot guarantee their behavior beyond the settings described above, which we apply to every ad request from this App.
Kids Learning World is directed at children, and we've built it with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play's Families Policy in mind.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App requires no account and no personal details to use. The only place a name is entered is the local child-profile screen, and that name never leaves the device. Areas that could involve sharing (the Parent Dashboard, camera/photo access, and any external links) are gated behind a parent PIN, so a child cannot access them unsupervised.
If you believe your child has provided us with personal information despite these safeguards, please contact us and we will investigate and delete it promptly.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. The only outside party involved in the App at all is Google, through the AdMob SDK described in Section 5, which processes limited technical data solely to serve and measure ads under the child-directed settings described above.
Because all data lives only on your device, you are always in control of it:
The Parent Dashboard and any settings that could involve external actions (such as the camera or outbound links) are protected by a 4-digit parent PIN. The PIN itself is never stored in plain text — only a salted cryptographic hash of it is kept on the device, so even someone with direct access to the App's storage cannot recover the original PIN.
The Parent Dashboard includes links to our company website and a "Contact Us" email link, which open in your browser or email app. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any site you reach this way.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide notice through the App or its store listing. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
